What To Do Before We Get There

Move what you can out from under it. Furniture, electronics, rugs, anything on the floor below the drip. Then put a bucket down and, if water is pooling in a ceiling and bulging the drywall, poke a small hole at the low point of the bulge with a screwdriver. That feels wrong and it is correct. A controlled drip into a bucket is far better than a section of ceiling coming down at once.

Then photograph everything before you clean any of it up. Every angle, inside and outside, the damage and the water and the ruined belongings.
